Then the opportunity came up to work under MJ. Smith, former LPGA Tour player based at Army Navy CC, here he learned and developed his teaching, Instruction and coaching structure. During the early 2000's and even today he credits lessons learned observing highly acclaimed coaches and applying many of their teaching philosophies within his teaching method today.

Having worked with former European Tour winner, Mark Brown between 2006 and 2010 he learned a lot from what an elite player requires to thrive on the worlds 2 major Tours. During those early years he also worked with many top junior golfers, Spencer Schindler who joined Compass Pointe to work with Corey, Spencer eventually left to chase his dream of playing College golf and later become an All American at Flagler College in Florida.
