In the Compass Pointe Junior League, players will compete against one another for a weekly points and season prizes. Competing in the league is a great way to keep your junior golfer interested in the game while providing an exciting atmosphere where they can grow friendships through the game of golf. Our league is split into two divisions to make things fair for both our older and younger players. In Division 2 juniors ages 9 – 13 will compete in a team-based scramble each week, and in Division 1, juniors ages 14 – 17 will compete in a variety of formats that will keep them engaged. The Compass Pointe Junior League will be split into two seasons, one in the spring and one in the fall. Players will not need to compete in every event, however attending more events will mean a higher point total.

Parents

Parents are allowed on the golf course during the events, however there is absolutely no coaching. Players receiving outside influence will receive the general penalty under Rule 10.2 and in cases of repeated offences will be disqualified for that event.

League Rules

• Play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf, except were listed below.
• Players will not be allowed to have a caddie during events.
• Players must walk the entire course in Division 1; Division 2 players may ride in a parent cart between holes. During these transportation periods we ask parents remain silent to avoid breaching Rule 10.2.
• Players must carry their clubs or use a push cart provided by the player. Push carts are highly encouraged.

Juniors will be able to earn points each week for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Points will be given the following week after a round is played to ensure we have enough time to finalize the leaderboard. The total point pool will be determined by the number of players each week, 80 points per player will go into the prize pool. Elevated events will go up to 160 points per player.

At the end of the season prizes will be given out to the top 3 players in points for the Spring and Fall Junior League season. Prizes will include but not excluded to a Compass Pointe Golf Shop gift card, 1 dozen of Titleist Prov1’s, and (1) 60-minute private lesson with any of the Learning Center Staff members.
