Sunday, the Sony Open's broadcast seemed a bit...off. Coverage wasn't nearly up to par on the Golf Channel, and many people were confused, angry, or upset. Those on Twitter, however, were made aware that the camera workers union had gone on strike as of Sunday. This forced on course analysts like Jerry Foltz to stand behind the camera. The Golf Channel made a statement clarifying their coverage, but they showed some disdain for the union with their phrasing. "...some technicians have chosen to walk off the job..." sends a message that they're unhappy with the union and their workers.
