the NCAA has been holding its Division I annual golf championships the past week, and Monday afternoon saw the crowning of the Women's Individual Championship that was no short of drama
With 2 holes to play, Wake Forest's Jennifer Kupcho was leading at -1 with 2 holes to play. Sadly, her approach on 17 at Rich Harvest Farms in Illinois was short and wet, forcing a drop. Kupcho finished with a triple bogey 7, leaving her 1 stroke off the pace. Arizona State's Monica Vaughn seized the opportunity and birdied 16, giving her the lead. On the final hole, Vaughn was left with a 2 putt from 25 feet to clinch, and she barely dropped her second putt in to claim the 6th individual championship for Arizona State.
